General Conference Oct 2012 Sunday Morning Notes

Henry B. Eyring

“Oh God, where art thou?”

God is never hidden, but sometimes we create our own pavilions

Our own desires can separate us from God

God is close to us and aware of us and never hides from His faithful children

Jesus Christ lives, knows us, aware of us, desires to bless us

We can’t insist on our time table when God has His own– it can obscure our hearing revelation

Do those things that will make us familiar to Him as He is familiar with us

I was hungered, and ye fed me, I was naked and ye clothed me

As we do what He wants us to do for His children, He will bless us

We will become more like Him as we do His will

Boyd K Packer

The natural man is an enemy to God–become a saint through the Atonement of Jesus Christ

If you have a mistake, whether minor or major, you can have it erased so you are no longer in darkness

Man cannot forgive their own selves, the Atonement shall wash away all sins

There is light offered where there is darkness

Linda K Burton

1) Observe then serve

We are the Savior’s hands when we serve the one

Walter F. Gonzalez

Come unto Christ– we can know for ourselves

Learn essential truths with our hearts

We are surrounded by so much information, but information alone is not enough

The gift of the Holy Ghost will help us access power to follow Celestial promptings

We need to learn to navigate the Celestial Web page

We cannot access this Celestial Web if there is sin and if we forget the Lord

Remember and perish not

There is no burden that He cannot lift–Christ will not fail you and He knows how to succor His children

Because of Jesus Christ, there is healing

Jeffrey R. Holland

What I need Peter, I need disciples

I need someone who loves me

I need you to leave this world and serve me

Do you love me?

We can’t quit and we can’t go back

The apostalic keys have been restored to the earth

Asking each one of us,  Do you love me?

President Thomas S. Monson

We live in a unique time

Take an inventory of your life and make corrections

Our prayers are heard

The Lord’s purposes are accomplished as we heed His promptings

Never postpone a prompting

Heavenly Father is aware of our needs

The Lord is in the details of our lives

Be aware of His blessings in our lives
