From the very first Monday of our marriage, EB and I have planned into our Monday evenings something we call FHE– “Family Home Evening”. Simply this means that we put aside everything on our calendars, gather as a family and spend time together learning and strengthening our familial ties. EB emphatically states that it can’t be a proper FHE without a song and a prayer at the beginning and the kids emphatically state that a true FHE must end with family prayer and a dessert. Yes, always a dessert.
That’s it. That is FHE in a nutshell. It really is pretty simple but has proven to be a powerful tool in keeping our family unified.
