Dish Motto
Dishes and laundry teach me so many great lessons.
I just wish my children would heed those same tutoring gems. Like…
“Do Your Best”
“Finish What You Start”
“Don’t Give Up”
“You Can Do Hard Things”
“Service is Happiness”
“Hard Work is Priceless”
“Many Hands Make Light Work”
“A Family that Works Together, Stays Together”
But no matter how I say these wise axioms over and over to my children, they seem to go in one ear and out the other.
Then, as I was looking at JQ the other day, I had a light bulb moment!
I finally processed the words and the message he had on his shirt that he had worn many times before. But like my children, I never thought much about the message.
I thought to myself,
“This is a brilliant motto to help my children understand the expectations of family dishes. I won’t have to say anything, just point to the motto and smile. The Wicked Witch of the West never has to show her warty face to get her kitchen cleaned.”
Why didn’t I think of this before?
Direct, to the point sayings with the swoosh sign for emphasis.
I guess that’s why marketing professionals get paid the big bucks.
Do you like this?
I Love it!!
My new Dish Motto…
Children, just do it till there’s nothing left!
I am impressed they now do it because of the new motto! You just had to find the right one!:)
Hope it works! If so, I think I’ll frame it and put it in our kitchen!
You are so clever!
