JQ left on April 10, 2013.
He came home April 10, 2015.
Yes, that is exactly 24 months.
Funny thing, that is how JQ is—exact.
No sharing straws, cups, or spoons.
His bed is always made, pristine and wrinkle-free.
When he was leaving on his mission, I came to his bedroom to help him pack his suitcase and this is what I found on his bed…
pure packing exactness. It was beautiful!
Now he has been home for a year, exactly one year from today,
and it has been heaven having him back.
Love ya JQ.
It’s time to get these photos up to show our Birthdays for January, February, and March.
These birthdays are all squished into 5 weeks so it feels like all we do is open birthday gifts and eat birthday cake…or pie…or cupcakes.
Happy Birthday you three!
JQ is officially an adult!
Presto is our Star Wars maniac!
Babups is now official. Watch out night drivers and all you girls!
EB and I did it!
We got out of dodge on the spur of the moment (something very rare for us), and surprised the kiddos.
This has been a long winter for us all and we wanted a break.
The sunshine was therapeutic and the togetherness was nourishing.
(And my kids laughed tears hearing me scream on the rides.)
Can you guess where we went?
“God will take you as you are at this very moment and begin to work with you. All you need is a willing heart, a desire to believe, and trust in the Lord.”
Dieter F. Uchtdorf
My three little sons are now men.
When they were young, I pleaded with God that He would work miracles and sand off the many rough edges.
They seemed to be far from “the mark” AND my mothering was also a bumpy imperfect “work in progress”.
Not a good combination.
But, like always, He comes through for ALL of us.
And He continues to work with all of us.
Now, they are men with willing believing hearts and they trust in the Lord.
My plea now is that they may always stay this way.
God does work miracles if we just let Him.
I get giddy about Mondays because of my two missionary sons.
I love getting their emails and photos of the great things they are doing for others in far off places.
Let’s call it…..Joy in my inbox.
Elder JQ, has been helping dig people out of 4 feet of mud and gunk in their homes because of the flooding that has happened in Calgary, Canada.
Elder T-Bob has been speaking English and teaching men from Africa in Moscow, Russia!
The joy I feel each Monday after I have heard and seen these missionaries makes for a better week for me as I can put my priorities in better order.
