Hello! I am JoyfullySimple, or JS.
I am a wife to my best friend, EB. Marrying him has been the most fortunate decision of my entire life … period, end of story. I hit the jack-pot!
I am a mother to twelve mighty magnificent children with ages that span two decades. Cool, yah, I know. (Four of these amazing people are married into the family but nonetheless, they are all mine!) I am also a grandmother to three practically perfect granddaughters who make this life go beyond the bounds ever conceivable. My children and grandchildren are truly the light of my life.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My faith in Jesus Christ helps me to refine those stubborn rough edges I have in plenty and teaches me how to live more simply. I know that God loves each one of us and He has a plan for us so that families can be together forever. Jesus Christ is my ultimate WHY of all that I am and everything that I do.
I am a home school mom since the fall of 1998 and I love everything about it. Yes, I cherish the craziness of little ones, teens, and young adult children. I may be totally exhausted and brain-dead after a full day at our home, but there is nothing else I would want to be doing and no place I’d rather be.
Now, here are a bunch of random quirky items that may fill in my “About” picture for you a little better.
I am NOT a seamstress (regretfully), a soda drinker, or a movie buff. I am NOT an artsy genius, a gadget guru, or a scrapbooking crafty mama. I cannot multitask when I cook and I am NOT a good sport when I play a basketball game with EB.
But someday, maybe someday, I would LOVE to create beautiful and exquisite quilts like my Mom does, be trained as a Culinary chef, run and finish a half marathon race, be a grandma to LOTS and LOTS of darling grandchildren, attempt being a master gardener with a charming and weed-free yard, and travel and explore the world with EB as missionaries.
